This ABC News 20/20 article shares with us a very different birthing experience. Very different, that is, to the images of birth we see so often on TV, in the movies, and very different to the stories we hear so often from friends and relatives.

I've been helping women birth for a long time, and have been privileged to have witnessed hundreds of gorgeous babies entering the world. I know that birthing does not need to be the tense, dramatic and stressful experience that is so often portrayed.
